The District III Interim meeting for the year 2009-2010 is to be held at a central
location again this year as it seemed to work so well last year.
The hotel that has been chosen is the
Garden Place Hotel in Buffalo.
The format this year will be quite different. The date is going to be
Saturday, January 9, 2010. The past Governors meeting will be
held from 12:30 until 1:30 with the business meeting starting at 2 p.m.
What we're hoping will happen is that the Past Governors, Club
Presidents, Club executives and all the Gyros that are attending will
bring their Gyrettes along. This way after the meeting there will be
a social hour and dinner at Salvatore's Italian Garden Restaurant. Depending
on how many we have, we will arrange for a separate section or area in the
restaurant with dinner at 7 p.m.
The combination Hotel and Restaurant offer a wonderful "One Night Getaway"
package. Included for one night is a room with a king size bed, dinner for
two at the restaurant and breakfast the next morning. The total price per
couple is $139.00 plus tax. Please book early to ensure that you get a
room available at this rate, as there are a limited number of rooms with
the king size bed at this rate.
There is a shuttle bus that runs between the hotel and restaurant so there
is no worry about driving.
If you have never been to this hotel or restaurant it is a unique
